Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Iosco County Clerk serves as clerk of the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court and keeps felony, family, and higher-dollar civil case files. The 81st District Court handles traffic, misdemeanors, landlord-tenant matters, and small claims. The Probate and Family Court manages estates, guardianships, and juvenile and family cases. The Sheriff runs the county jail and handles active warrants. Add the statewide MiCOURT case search and the Michigan FOIA process, and the picture gets crowded fast. Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
